Tozzi Green completes the sale of Tarifa wind farm thanks to the help of L&B Partners

Tozzi Green further consolidates its track record in the renewable energy sector

Tozzi Green S.p.A., a 60-year old company operating at 360° in the field of renewable energy, sold its wind farm of Tarifa (LE) to CVA S.p.A. (Compagnia Valdostana delle Acque), primary industrial operator in the European panorama for the production of energy from renewable sources (hydroelectric, wind and photovoltaic) with over 1,000 MW of installed capacity.

The wind farm, with an installed capacity of 22 MW, has been designed, built and connected by Tozzi Green in 2016 and, thanks to the 11 WTGs Vestas V100 and V90, it can produce roughly yearly 50 GWh.

Mr. Franco Tozzi, Founder and Chairman of Tozzi Green S.p.A. and Mr. Andrea Tozzi, the Chief Executive Officer, are pleased and unanimously declare: “with the construction of Tarifa wind farm, Tozzi Green further consolidates its track record in the Italian renewable sectorreaching over 600 MW installed to date. The sale of Tarifa wind farm, already foreseen in the industrial plan 2016-2020, is functional for the achievement of new and challenging initiatives by the Group in the field of renewable energy both in Italy and abroad".

Mr. Riccardo Trisoldi, Chairman of C.V.A. S.p.A., declares: “with the acquisition of Tarifa wind farm, CVA Group consolidates its growth in the windsector, reaching 110 MW of installed capacity, and continues with its investment plan aimed at enhancing its primary position in the Italian renewable energy industry".

For this transaction, Tozzi Green has been assisted by L&B Partners Studio Legale Associato, with Michele Di Terlizzi, Bartolo Cozzoli, Giulia Paternostro, Vincenzo Telera and Federica Desiderato. L&B Partners, with the team composed by Flavio Di Terlizzi, Gianguido Arcangeli, Sveva Iermano and Domenico Magistri, assisted Tozzi Green as financial advisor. 

C.V.A. has been assisted, for the technical due diligence by the team of RENAM managed by Simone Pinamonte and for the legal due diligence and drafting and completion of the legal documentation by the legal firm Gianni Origoni Grippo Cappelli & Partners with a team composed by Ottaviano Sanseverino, Gherardo Cadore, Stefano Cunico, Filippo Manaresi and DavideCorriero.

Hideal Partners, with Roberto Massarenti and Lodovico Bianchi Di Giulio, has acted as M&A and financial advisor of C.V.A. The company of Mr. Massimo IGUERA has carried over the tax due diligence.

Tozzi Green acts at 360° in the field of renewable energy in Italy and abroad.
Tozzi family, which is active from 60 years in Italy and abroad in the fields of electro-instrumental engineering and switchboards, since the late ‘90 started to concentrate part of its activity in the renewable energy sector.

From 2011 C.V.A. operates in the production of energy from renewable source with its 32 hydro plants located in Valle d’Aosta. In the last years, it has diversified its production through the acquisition of photovoltaic plants and wind farms. The installed capacity of C.V.A. plants, after today transaction, is equal to 1.055 MW, of which 933 MW hydroelectric, 110 MW wind and 12 MW photovoltaic, with an average annual production of roughly 3,000 GWh.

C.V.A. also operates in the field of energy sales through its subsidiary CVA Trading, which in 2016 provided roughly 92.000 clients and over 172.000 withdrawal points, across the country, for total yearly 4.400 GWh. Moreover, with its subsidiary DEVAL, manages the distribution activities in the Valle d’Aosta region.
