Skills and experience
After a brief experience at Jesa Investment & Management Co. Ltd (a strategy consulting company based in Shanghai) and one year at General Electric in the energy services division, Riccardo joined the team of L&B Partners S.p.A. in 2011, becoming a Partner in 2020.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of L&B Capital S.p.A. since 2018. He is also member of the Board of Directors of Esapro S.r.l. where he holds controlling and coordination powers for external business development activities. He has been furthermore Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Risk Management S.p.A. until 2021.
From 2015 to January 2020, he was member of the Board of Directors of Evolvere S.p.A. (of which L&B Capital S.p.A. was a founding partner), a leading Italian distributed energy generation company, sold in 2020 to ENI gas e luce.
He was an active participant in numerous M&A deals in the renewable energy sector, worth over €4 billion and corresponding to over 2.5 GW.
Here are some of his most important recent accomplishments:
- Advisor to L&B Capital S.p.A. and the other minority shareholders in the sale to ENI gas e luce of 70% of the corporate capital of Evolvere S.p.A., owner of a customer portfolio consisting of over 10,000 prosumers which corresponds to an overall installed photovoltaic capacity of over 55 MW (of which over 40 MW are directly owned) (2020).
- Advisor to Swisspower in the acquisition of Sorgente II, owner of a portfolio consisting of 21 hydroelectric power stations, 3 wind parks and 3 solar power plants with a total installed capacity of approximately 73 MW (2017).
- Advisor to Tozzi Sud S.p.A. in the sale to the BKW Group of an operational wind farm with an installed capacity of 56 MW (2013).
