Bird & Bird advised MPS Capital Services, the corporate and investment bank of the Montepaschi group, as arranger, lender and agent bank, in a €25 million financing transaction related to a wind power generation plant with an output of approximately 22.55 MWp, built in the municipalities of Caltanissetta and Marianopoli (CL). The plant is owned by Mimiani Wind, a renewable energy company associated with the Ardian investment fund.

Bird & Bird advised the bank in all project finance aspects related to the negotiation, drafting and completion of the financing documentation and the concomitant disbursement of the facility. The team was coordinated by partner Pierpaolo Mastromarini, head of the Energy & Utilities team in Italy, and led by senior associate Michele Arruzzolo who acted as project manager with the support of associates Vincenzo Maria Giorgio, Francesco Bianco and Teresa Florio. Regulatory aspects were supervised by partner  Simone Cadeddu  (head of the administrative law department) together with senior associate Jacopo Nardelli and associate Chiara Tortorella.

L&B Partners Avvocati Associati advised Mimiani Wind and its shareholder in reviewing and negotiating the financing documentation with a team composed of managing partner  Michele Di Terlizzi, counsel Andrea Semmola, senior associate Giuseppe Candela and junior associate Carlo Maria Tealdo.

Notarial aspects of the transaction were handled by Public Notary Andrea Positano De Vincentiis.
